About Us

Dowell Hardware is a family owned and independentely operated member of the Ace Hardware retailer's cooperative. We have been in the hardware business since the early 1990's when we first started selling hardware at our old location outside of Stephenville, TX. In 2000 we moved into town and greatly expanded our store to it's current size. The move also allowed us to open up a store-within-a-store called The Home Place which specializes in housewares and gifts.
